Work for you to help you with your constituent issues
Direct, hands-on constituent service will be the hallmark of Heidi Chain’s office. As a volunteer, Heidi has been on call for neighbors’ concerns and issues. As your councilmember, Heidi will serve you- her motto is: How Can I help? Key components of Heidi Chain’s service will include:
- Heidi will establish a 24 hour hotline to resolve for your concerns and issues.
- We will designate a specific member of my staff to be devoted to helping constituents resolve problems with government and advocate for the people of the district
- With a significant amount of information and required filings being computer submitted, we will provide computer assistance to constituents, especially to those affected by cutbacks in available computer services (e.g., those provided by libraries)
- Heidi has and always will work for our veterans. Heidi Chain has been involved in helping with the Memorial Day parade and the honoring of our military heroes
- To help improve our quality of life, I will work to solve the LIRR-caused noise problem resulting from the removal of the sound-dampening wall along Burns Street. We have a wonderful community with an extraordinary quality of life; the deafening noise created by this situation must be silenced.
- We will assist constituents to identify and, where available, to apply for real estate rebates and exemptions
